This was a cartoon I did of the "real" Yahtzee when I saw him walking around the GDC.

Yahtzee saw it and said "oh that's good," so it's got the genuine seal of approval! :thumbsup: Can't ask for much more then that.

Wish I'd managed to be more articulate with the guy: I keep telling myself he's probably just a normal guy as suprised at his success as anyone else is, and there's no reason to be so nervous around him.

Then I would actually spy him someplace (not difficult since he's F-ing tall) and my brain would totally lock down into "OMG YAHTZEE" and spazz until I lost sight of him again.

So in the end, fangirlism won out. Sigh. Oh well. What can ya do?

Haha. It's okay. I reacted the same way when I first met the Nostalgia Critic at a convention. I just....froze up. He was so cool, I was terrified. It was AWESOME. Thankfully, he turned out to be a really nice guy, which eased the tension quite a bit.

Of course he was nice. He's from the Midwest. Everybody from the Midwest is nice. :D Though I'd geek out if I saw him too, and have to swallow an urge to declare "FOR KICKASSIA!" in front of everybody.

I suspect I have a thing for publicly humiliating those I admire.

I'm amazed people still somehow find this sketch I did on the fly two years ago.

That is awesome! I tried drawing him once, but I could never get the trilby right. It's cool that you met him and he liked your work. The "Yahtzee Seal of Approval" wow, that's a rare thing indeed, lol!

Most of the time, I thought how nervous I would be just to meet him; he seems so cool and so average, yet a few fans who've met him say he was very rude or just ignored them. :disbelief:

He might have just SAID he liked it so that I'd leave him alone, but I refuse to consider it because I desperately need to believe otherwise. :)

I think we should give Yahtzee a break. Tough misanthropes like him usually have big hearts that they go to great lengths to protect.
