This was a cartoon I did of the "real" Yahtzee when I saw him walking around the GDC.
Yahtzee saw it and said "oh that's good," so it's got the genuine seal of approval! Can't ask for much more then that.
Wish I'd managed to be more articulate with the guy: I keep telling myself he's probably just a normal guy as suprised at his success as anyone else is, and there's no reason to be so nervous around him.
Then I would actually spy him someplace (not difficult since he's F-ing tall) and my brain would totally lock down into "OMG YAHTZEE" and spazz until I lost sight of him again.
So in the end, fangirlism won out. Sigh. Oh well. What can ya do?
So he actually wears the hat? I saw him in his latest review, the Uncharted one, but he didn't have his hat on. T-T.

To be fair, the hat wouldn't really have matched the headset he was using to record his voice.
I so applauded when he cut to live-action. I know it was to make a point about random, pointless Quick Time events interupting the flow and pacing of a game for no good reason.. and I think it was perfect, but that he thought it up at all has me in awe of the guy, he is just smarter then hell.
I was startled to see he couldn't be more then three or four years older then I am either.

He didn't appear AT the awards ceremonies or any any ceremonies for that matter, but he did attend a few events and he could be seen walking from place to place. Like I said, his hight made him very easy to spot in a crowd.
Well, not so much walking as gliding. The guy has an anti-gravity device in his belt or something: normal human heads bob up and down when they walk, he just sort of zips forwards, sort of bringing those long legs along like an afterthought.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

...But wait, according to this video, he never actually made a physical appearence at GDC:
